Specializing in birds, circus clowns, portraits and still life, Snyder held many one-person shows including two at the Portland Art Museum. C. S. Price compared her work to Rouault because of her expressionist style which ‘self-evolved’ out of her earlier impressionistic works. She was the sister of the painter Jefferson Tester.
