A founding member of the Oregon Society of Artists, Keller opened an art and frame shop in Portland from 1907 to 1936 and painted Oregon landscapes well into the 1950’s. President Herbert Hoover had one of Keller’s paintings and President F. D. Roosevelt hung a Keller painting of Bonneville Dam in the White House behind his desk. Keller had works in every state and thirteen European countries, winning over 275 prizes for his art.
