Education: University of Oregon, studied under Eliza Barchus, C.S. Price, Leon Clyde Keller, and Sydney Bell
Collections: Timberline Lodge, Portland Art Museum, Oregon Historical Society, Portland Library, Pacific University, Reed College.
Founded the Washington School of Art in Washington D.C. before moving to Portland in 1920. He was a WPA artist from 1935 to 1942 painting two large oils for Timberline Lodge which were honored by the Architectural League of New York and painted a series for the Imperial Hotel in Portland, as well as 16 murals for the Oregon City High School. He was also a commercial artist, a Spanish dancer, a singer and an impersonator.
